UNKLE are set to release a new EP and track "Money and Run" the guest vocals come in the shape of none other than Nick Cave.

The Drums have announced they are set to release their second LP, "Portamento" in September, along with it they have gave us a taster of what is to come with the track "Money".

Oi, eyes off the penis. Back to us. OK. Manchester's mystery group Money have confirmed the details of their forthcoming 7" release "Who's Going To Love You Now".

Funny isn't it, when looking back on last years 'Ones To Watch' list and seeing what became of our picks. To be fair, we never said that they were going to take over the world and sell a million records, far from it in fact. What we are saying, though, is that an EP or album are expected from this talented lot in the forthcoming year.

Welcome news today that Manchester four piece MONEY are prepping their debut LP ('for sometime this summer'), with new track "Bluebell Fields" being the latest cut from it (see the previous "Who's Going To Love You Now", amongst others).

TV Girl sent out an email to all their most loyal friends within the music industry today, in order to clear a few issues up regarding recent copyright infringement claims.

Hailing from Leeds, Slowcoaches have acquired numerous fans on the back of their debut EP We're So Heavy, which was released through Sheffield based Tye Die tapes earlier in the year. And it's easy to see why, with their concise, No Age like hooks and thrashing post punk demeanor, they posses a ballsy character that is often so absent from much of the new acts we come across on a daily basis.

Chelou may very well be a bit of a mystery at the minute but his music certainly isn't. So far he's supported Thurston Moore and hot newcomers All We Are, and now he's prepping the release of debut Mothership EP. He's doing that through the release of this - "You're So Good" - staunch number.

So, is this simply another moniker of Méké Menété? To be honest we're kind of confused. These Manchester lot like to keep us guessing, that's for sure.

From the ashes of Meke Menete, Youth and Books came MONEY, the Manchester group who gave us "Lonely Sexy Death" back in the early regions of 2011. This week they uploaded a new track for us to divulge, entitled "The Sea".

These Beat Connection remix's are becoming some what of a staple here. And when Jordan & Reed are churning out re-jig's of this quality, how could we not post it?

Last week we brought you the epic list of newcomers from this year, missing a few I'm sure but you can't please everyone. You also don't want to be doing ridiculous lists such as, 'The Top 100' sending everyone to sleep by the time they get to 50.

This week is the turn of 'Best Tracks'... no set figure... no ranking... just literally the best of the best this year.

We've already streamed their previous three tracks, but you may-as-well go-ahead and listen to Sundara Karma's full 4-track debut EP - a lot of bands not fussed about release names these days -  EP1.

We're now one third of the way into 2014 and its new music is proving to be head and shoulders stronger than 2013.

one-for-the-people-month-in-review-april-2014

April has probably been the patchiest month of the year so far. We've had strong contenders for single of the month and all from relative newcomers, not so much competition for album of the month and newcomers were fairly thin on the ground too. That aside, we've developed a renewed vigour for the site and found time for some interviews and features. But enough of that, let's get to it..

Here is the new video from Erykah Badu, "Gone Baby, Don't Be Long". The video is directed by the super talented Flying Lotus.

Having a bit of a catch up here; unpaid music writing can tend to be forced into submission when it comes to a need for money to live, but who doesn't know that. Last week, MINKS dropped "Margot", another new track from their upcoming LP Tides End, which is now available for streaming.

Today we have a new band for you, in the shape of Guards, we're not the first by any means but wow these guys are good!

Not too much is known about the band. What we do know, is the band blew up when the news broke (Cults putting out a tweet) that Cults were featuring on a new song from a band called, Guards. The rest seems to be history and the future seems to be rosie. Heres an excellent quote from the bands (recently signed to) record label, 3 Syllables:

It seems like ages ago since we first came across Kyle Krone's solo project. It wasn't, it was June and he's come a fair way since then too.

With the release of five tracks now, people are starting to wonder when we'll see a full length release.  We were one of those people(s) so instead of sitting around, we got onto Kyle and thought we'd throw him a few questions. See the outcome below.

Sullen and love sick as ever, Drop Out Venus are back with Be Brave, a collection of tracks released through their bandcamp page.

Swedish minimalist duo JJ have a new track for us with 'Let Them'. No prizes for guessing where the opening lines are from....
