Out of months and months of catch-up, Sloan Peterson's garage-rock juggernaut "Rats" has to be the single most stand-out track of the lot.

Sloan Peterson is the project of Australia-based Joe Jackson, and sounds remarkably similar to Black Honey drained of acid and injected with adrenaline. "Rats" flies along at break-neck pace, with stereotypical "oohs" to provide some vintage feels, and a luscious little bridge in the middle to stop for air.

All in all a stunning number. Lets hope for more of the same when the Sloan Peterson EP is released on September 8 through Mirror Records.
