It is that time of the year again or maybe a little past that time of year if we're being totally honest but never-the-less, we have a list compiled of some of the best tracks to slap us in the chops and make us take note this year - even adding them to our Certified Tracks section. Just to be a bit different, we will be throwing some album tracks in the mix to highlight how important it is not to solely rely on blogs posting song after song, and what a front-to-back album can offer.

First off, we've so far had 12 brilliant tracks and they're all featured in our CT15 section of the website, but keep reading to find out why we think they're so good. On top of that, like we've just said, we'll shuffle the pack and highlight some songs that haven't featured on the site because they're album tracks. So here goes.

July 1st marks the exact halfway mark of 2014. We know, how time flies, etc etc. Given the pace that new music hits the pages nowadays, it's more than likely that there's a few things you may have missed. Every year without fail we trudge through the cesspit of fresh, new and sometimes horrific music - that's maybe not the case for every site but it certainly is for us. This is where our Ones for 2014 list comes in and most of the time, these acts breakthrough two or maybe three years down the line. This isn't a list for commercial or even independent success, it's simply a hat-tip to the best One For The People debutant(e)s we've seen this year, with undoubted potential and originality - hopefully they'll raise their game in 2014.

Funny isn't it, when looking back on last years 'Ones To Watch' list and seeing what became of our picks. To be fair, we never said that they were going to take over the world and sell a million records, far from it in fact. What we are saying, though, is that an EP or album are expected from this talented lot in the forthcoming year.

This year we've cut down our "best of" lists and got straight to the point, we'll have two lists and an extra something(s) special up our sleeve.

As the year draws to an end its that time when we look through 11 months worth of music to bring you the 'Best Of' list.

The nights are starting to get darker, the weather even nippier, thus meaning the UK 2010 festival season is all but over. For the heavier clubber, the traditional Ibiza 'closing parties' are also sadly in close grasp. Its not all gloom though. For those that don't know in 2006 roundabout this time of year, a few people in rainy Madchester had a bright idea of doing some parties in an abandoned building, an old beer brewery in fact. Four years on these sell out parties are still held every weekend for 3 months, up until and including New Years Day, taking place under (yes, beneath) one of the UK's busiest train stations. Its called The Warehouse Project and boasts, without question, the broadest line up of top end old and new electronic acts and DJ's.

The launch weekend is almost upon us, however we're not going to bore you with the full list of headliners (click here to see that), instead, we've untangled three of the lesser known names who we're pretty fond of.
