BEST OF 2010: Albums

Third installment from 'Best Of 2010' is our list of albums. Take a look through some of the finest music from this year.....

Isn't evolution a thing? Foals have propelled themselves into new found amazingness with Total Life Forever. Its no longer the young tykes that math rocked to 'Cassius', they turned things up a notch with this one without losing a single ounce of originality.

 Foals - Total Life Forever

----------

A pleasant step up from Crocodiles debut album Summer Of Hate. The raw noise rock is still there in abundance, yet its progressed than ever before. No better sumed up by the epic 'Mirrors'. Just listen....

Crocodiles - Mirrors

----------

Subiza is total euphoric, balearia bliss. Endless anthems like 'Stay Close', 'Grow' & 'Deli' set the tone this summer, and probably will again next year too.

 Delorean - Stay Close

----------

Probably the most obvious choice on the list. but how could one deny Arcade Fire? Polished from start to finish, its with The Suburbs that non believers have finally been turned.

Arcade Fire - Ready To Start

----------

If we did one of those controversial 'top 20' lists then Tame Impala would probably be our number 1. Their 60's psychedelic rock influences has made totally refreshing this year. An album you need in your collection.

Tame Impala - Solitude is Bliss

----------

Scuzzy grunge from Dalston's finest.... albeit via the USA. Nothing Hurts is memorable in a very unique way. Catchy hooks and lots of lo-fo rawness, whats not to like?

Male Bonding - Franklin

----------

Solid return from Deerhunter who just seem to get better and better with time. Bradford Cox & the guys continue to pave their own musical direction.

Deerhunter - Helicopter

----------

Jonquil may have lost three members but they certainly haven't lost their ability to make a good track. Even though One Hundred Suns is technically an EP, its a fantastic collection of melodic pop nonetheless.

Jonquil - It Never Rains

----------

BURST is a blast of synthesized enthusiasm from one of our favourite bands of late, The Pass. Keep your eyes peeled in the not too distant future, these guys are for the win.

The Pass - Treatment of the Sun

----------

Beautiful lo-fi pop perfection. From Ariel Pink's bedroom to your speakers.... Its almost effortlessly good, every single time.

Ariel Pink - Round and Round
