New Artist: Slowcoaches - We're So Heavy

Leeds trio Slowcoaches today showed off a stream of their new EP 'We're So Heavy',  ahead of its March 23rd release (on cassette, obviously).

The track below - "We're So Heavy" - really bounces into life as it approaches the minute mark, and with screams of "I DON'T CARE, I DON'T CARE" - you get the sense that they actually don't, which is I like, strangely enough. Like a slightly punkier Male Bonding, the lo-fi aesthetic is in place, but it's one which holds a melodic, alter hook-friendly side. Other highlights include "Get Ripped & "Drag", which both contain the high octane, jangly rawness that you can't help but warm to.

The band are playing these upcoming UK dates:

16/3 FOX AND NEWT, LEEDS
17/3 HOPE HOUSE STUDIO, LEEDS
24/3 EDINBURGH, HENRYS CELLAR BAR
25/3 GLASGOW, TBC
