Hailing from the sunny (that's debatable, mind) seaside town of Bouremouth, newcomers Bos Angeles could well be contenders for the 'soundtrack of summer 2011' award with their debut "Beach Slalom".

Bos Angeles - in the process of looking for a label to put their music out - have dropped new track "Pretend For You" and it would be fair to say it's a bit different from their usual style.

It's kind of sad when you look at Bos Angeles' demise. The brilliant "Beach Slalom" was (and we don't use the term loosely) a most memorable debut. However, there is still one little twist before it's put to bed entirely, with Taking Out The Trash - which is compiled of demos and previously unreleased material - seeing a release next month.

We've admired Bournemouth's Bos Angeles ever since those first chords of April's CN track "Beach Slalom". The response was overwhelmingly positive, obviously, and today we get to hear two more tracks from the band.

Bound to be in some 2k12 lists, South coast surf kids Bos Angeles present their first video for debut single release "Days Of Youth".

After making a wave or two with debut track / single "Beach Slalom", Bournemouth's Bos Angeles unveil two new tracks today in "All I Do is Dream" & "You're The One That I Want".

Born out of the remains of Boscombe trio Bos Angeles, Jaguar Cub come up trumps with two stellar debut tracks

Once of Boscombe's blog loved trio Bos Angeles, George Rothman has upped sticks (quite literally in fact, he was the drummer) to Brighton and has some new material of his own under the name Jaguar Cub, along with new bandmates Ben, Chris & Giles.

A lot of 'new music' festivals only happen in the capital, and perhaps rightly so. After all, that is where you are most likely to find the committed of fans.

We present our CERTIFIED NEW April mixtape today. If your not familiar with the process, heres the deal:

Recorded in their ever reliable caravan, "Love At 140" is another new cut from Bournemouth's slacker surf-pop duo Yoofs.

Funny isn't it, when looking back on last years 'Ones To Watch' list and seeing what became of our picks. To be fair, we never said that they were going to take over the world and sell a million records, far from it in fact. What we are saying, though, is that an EP or album are expected from this talented lot in the forthcoming year.

The mysterious Tashaki Miyaki now have a new video for one of the three songs available to stream on their Bandcamp.

Judging by the July release date on Gross Ghots' Bandcamp page it appears we're a little late on posting this one. But after a quick Google search it seems others may have missed them too.

Our favourite post-punk noisemakers, London's Not Cool, have just released a collection of 15 tracks which are all taken from this post title. Well, apart from the bullshit, obviously.

Thanks to a few friends in southern places, we've been keeping tabs on Jerry Tropicano for a while and newest track "Slap Back Fields" (in terms of Soundcloud) is something I can definitely dig.

2011 has been amazing. So good in fact that we could have easily made five mixtapes to accommodate our favourite tracks throughout the course of the year.
