New Artist: Tashaki Miyaki - Somethin Is Better Than Nothin

The mysterious Tashaki Miyaki now have a new video for one of the three songs available to stream on their Bandcamp.

For the record the band are Californian and, although its been said many times before, sound very much like the lo-fi chillwave goodness of Best Coast. Seriously that's a brilliant description, trust me!

They're set to release their debut 12" EP through The Sounds Of Sweet Nothing on October 31, think Gross Magic, although there's others including Jewellers. You can pre-order the bands 12" here.

Moving on, they've done a cover of Sam Cooke's "Nothing Can Change This Love" and The Everly Brothers' "All I Have To Do Is Dream", but all the more impressive is the below track and video for "Somethin Is Better Than Nothin".

Catch the band playing at London’s 100 Club on September 28 with Bos Angeles and Gross Magic.
