We really struggle to hide bias for Wild Beasts, but it never really matters because all praise is deserved when it comes to the Kendal band and latest track "Sweet Spot" only cements their case for being one of the best, most original bands in this country.

SOHN unveils his remix of Wild Beasts' "Mecca" set for release August 4th.

Now if you're looking for dream combinations this year then look no further, as this one surely has to be up there. The sultry and decadent croon of Wild Beasts paired with the magical touch of rising electronic star SOHN is, if nothing else, a recipe for success.

Wild Beasts unveil harder hitting "Tough Guy", the fourth track to be heard from their upcoming album Boy King.

The band pay homage to Talking Heads in their video for latest single and second to come from Present Tense - "A Simple Beautiful Truth".

Wild Beasts return with "Wanderlust", the first track to come from their upcoming fourth album.

Amongst other things, the band had been experimenting with synths for the release of their new album and "Wanderlust" is an example of how these new elements have been incorporated into their sound.

Oh Yeah! We're very happy indeed to bring you news of Wild Beasts' return today with the track "Albatross".

As Wild Beasts prepare to release new single "Reach A Litte Bit Further" on November 14th, we get to hear the B-Side "Thankless Thing" today.

Now in its eleventh year Reading & Leeds is only second to the mighty Glastonbury come festival season. The three day event held over August bank holiday weekend attracts a huge variety of bands & artists. From emerging talent such as Frankie & The Heartstrings, The Drums & Yeasayer to industry stalwarts like Modest Mouse, Weezer & Guns & Roses.

We had quite a response to Wild Beasts' returning track "Albatross" when we first brought you it last month, which was hardly surprising to be quite honest. Today sees the band unleash the tracks official video.

There was a preview a month or so back for the new Wild Beasts video, ''We still got the taste dancing on our tongues''. We now get to see the finished version, out March 22nd.

Directed by Luke Seomore & Joseph Bull, (institute for eyes) it follows the unconventional approach set by the ''Hooting & Howling vid''.

'Certified New is a month by month mixtape of the best new music'

September has provided us with more than enough good music to tide us over into the Autumn. From the experimental electronica of CANT, to the psychedelic haze of Still Corners and the beautiful delicacy of Youthfall.

In most cases, remixes can be vile creatures. But that's not the case for all of them, oh no. One only has to look at Jon Hopkins remix of Wild Beasts' "Two Dancers", or more recently, the Jensen Sportag re-jig of Memory Tapes "Wait In The Dark" to see how to execute them properly.

A lot of 'new music' festivals only happen in the capital, and perhaps rightly so. After all, that is where you are most likely to find the committed of fans.

In an age where good band names are few and far between, I think Zulu Winter is pretty solid. And with little else to go on at this moment of writing, that's about it for a descriptive intro.

Who remembers Golden Silvers? Well, with the danceable, synth loving Londoners on an indefinite sabbatical, front man Gwilym Gold has gone it solo and today reveals his new material to the world, yet with one big fat twist.

August 17 - 19th / the Funkirk estate, Skipton, Yorkshire Dales

Last year Beacons was set to make its mark as one of the most exciting and unique festivals to take place in the North of England. However, with summer being its unpredictable self yet again, the event was sadly canceled due to flash flooding in the Yorkshire Dales.

But, as they say, if at first you don't succeed, dust your off and try again. At that's exactly what the Leeds based brains behind Beacons have done, and with it securing a bigger (and what will probably turn out to be better) version in 2012.

Welcome to our 'Month In Review', a round-up of everything that was January 2014...

Wow, what a month it's been. After the seemingly baron last quarter that 2013 threw at us, January has almost been too much to take in. Not that we're complaining, mind you. Taking a slightly different route this year, we're rolling out a new feature called 'Month In Review', which will re-cap on the everything we've spoke about throughout the last 30 or so days. This month's is packed, so more of the same in February, please.

WSGM are back with "Kelly" another track from their debut LP and there's yet more stunning vocals from Nikolaj Manuel Vonsild.

Introducing Manchester newcomers Girl Friend - a band sharing a lot without giving much away...

'Oh Manchester, so much to answer for', someone, somewhere, once sang. And Manchester is the city
that just keeps on giving, so when a band like Girl Friend pop up with debut single "Perfume", we really shouldn't be surprised.

Funny isn't it, when some of the 'newer' bands start sparking influence for kids all over the place. Remember the Wild Beasts sound getting a lot of new band admiration a little while back? Well, now, intended or not, newcomers FEWS have made a favourable start with their debut track "10 Things".
