Unknown Mortal Orchestra

best-songs-2015-so-far-one-for-the-people

It is that time of the year again or maybe a little past that time of year if we're being totally honest but never-the-less, we have a list compiled of some of the best tracks to slap us in the chops and make us take note this year - even adding them to our Certified Tracks section. Just to be a bit different, we will be throwing some album tracks in the mix to highlight how important it is not to solely rely on blogs posting song after song, and what a front-to-back album can offer.

First off, we've so far had 12 brilliant tracks and they're all featured in our CT15 section of the website, but keep reading to find out why we think they're so good. On top of that, like we've just said, we'll shuffle the pack and highlight some songs that haven't featured on the site because they're album tracks. So here goes.

Unknown Mortal Orchestra have unveiled a new video for their Multi-Love album track "Ur Life One Night.

You name it, it's being used in "Can't Keep Checking My Phone", Unknown Mortal Orchestra's third cut from upcoming LP Multi-Love.

Ahead of the release of their anticipated spring release of II follow up Multi-Love, Unknown Mortal Orchestra have dropped the video for the title track and lead single.

It doesn't really seem like more than a year since Portland's Unknown Mortal Orchestra dropped their second LP II to huge critical acclaim, but it has. We say this because they've just announced the release of their third effort Multi-Love through Jagjaguwar on May 26th, and we've got the title track at our disposal.

Wampire Spirit Forest

Portland duo Wampire have dropped "Spirit Forest", another track from their upcoming Curiosity LP.

Unknown Mortal Orchestra have so far - for us - been the best band of 2013. It's extremely early days but there has been little else to distract our attentions from "So Good at Being in Trouble" and it seems McLovin or should we say Christopher Mintz-Plasse, who features in the video, agrees with us.

While still playing their most recent track "So Good At Being In Trouble" to death, you can now stream their upcoming long player II in full.

Ahead of their forthcoming LP II (out Feb 5 via Jagjaguwar), Unknown Mortal Orchestra have shown off wavy new "So Good At Being In Trouble".
