From the confines of a warehouse space, the trio of Charlie Hilton, Patrick Adams & Jacob Portrait (who has worked with the likes of Starfucker & The Dandy Warhols) make up the relatively new Portland based Blouse

It's our first time posting about Portland trio Blouse, and with the track / video we bring you today your going to be left feigning for more.

Blouse have been teasing us with tracks like "A Feeling Like This" and "No Shelter"; well now we can hear Imperium in full below.

We've been fond of Portland's dream-pop group Blouse for sometime. Now, on the day their self titled debut album is released, The Fader has a full stream for us.

Wow, doesn't seem like Blouse's debut LP was released over 18 months ago. But time flies though, doesn't it, and it's great news that the Portland trio are back with new track "No Shelter", the first from their upcoming record Imperium.

As a fan of Captured Tracks and inevitably Blouse, we we're immensely excited for the emergence of their new music; so when "No Shelter" came around in June, it came as a shock to the system that they'd dropped their murky and Gothic romanticism for a more apparent romantic edge and new track, "A Feeling Like This", only serves to solidify our thoughts that the slight change up has paid off.

This year we've cut down our "best of" lists and got straight to the point, we'll have two lists and an extra something(s) special up our sleeve.

Lists can get increasingly tedious this time of the year and every Tom, Dick and Harry are compiling their best albums, videos, tracks, artists, newcomers, the holy "Ones To Watch", what are we watching for exactly?

This first list is for NEWCOMERS, the criteria isn't "Oh we came across this band in 2011, they're good". It needs to be relevant so we made some pointers on how we judged below:

'Certified New is a month by month mixtape of the best new music'

September has provided us with more than enough good music to tide us over into the Autumn. From the experimental electronica of CANT, to the psychedelic haze of Still Corners and the beautiful delicacy of Youthfall.

Its that time of the month once again, so you know whats coming. Here's our latest 'Certified New' compilation for February

Recent Sub Pop signees Blouse are back with their second release on May 31st.

2011 has been amazing. So good in fact that we could have easily made five mixtapes to accommodate our favourite tracks throughout the course of the year.
