Seattle's Beat Connection initially caught our attention way back in the summer months of 2010 (you know, when the sun is supposed to be shining?), which was quite fitting as the duo of Reed Juenger & Jordan Koplowitz make music that is supposed to be played while basking in glorious weather. As the duo themselves state, they make some "Tropical Psychedelic Pop", which is just about bang on the money.

It's always a good feeling to be posting new stuff from a band we've been loving since pretty much starting this site - nearing 6 years ago now - and although we've been rather critical of some of their music post The Palace Garden, this "So Good" from Beat Connection is exactly what the title says.

In most cases, remixes can be vile creatures. But that's not the case for all of them, oh no. One only has to look at Jon Hopkins remix of Wild Beasts' "Two Dancers", or more recently, the Jensen Sportag re-jig of Memory Tapes "Wait In The Dark" to see how to execute them properly.

Hailing from Seattle, Jordan Koplowitz and Reed Juenger make up the core of what is electronic chill / beach wavers Beat Connection. Added to that is vocalist Tom Eddy, Mark Hunter on bass and Jarred Katz on drums.

These Beat Connection remix's are becoming some what of a staple here. And when Jordan & Reed are churning out re-jig's of this quality, how could we not post it?

Coming fresh from Brighton's Great Escape festival Beat Connection drop their new video for mini album highlight "In The Water".

Seattle's Beat Connection now have an official video for their new single "Silver Screen", which you can watch below

Cometh the sun, cometh Beat Connection. The electronic duo turned four-piece are back with details of their debut LP, The Palace Garden, and we have first single "The Palace Garden, 4am" for your listening pleasure.

Now a sparkling four piece, Seattle's Beat Connection make an aptly timed return today with new track "Think / Feel".

Beat Connection's debut LP - The Palace Garden - might not have left your player yet (good isn't it?), but now the Seattle four-piece are showing their visually creative side with a new video for album highlight "Further Out".

Its that time of the month once again, so you know whats coming. Here's our latest 'Certified New' compilation for February

So here we are, almost at summers pinnacle as we prepare to enter August. It's more than appropriate then that we present our Summer mixtape today. A compilation that you can put on, kick back and let guide you through the long evenings.

2011 has been amazing. So good in fact that we could have easily made five mixtapes to accommodate our favourite tracks throughout the course of the year.

The sun is out today. It's still freezing, mind, but somehow everything feels immediately better. And with that said, this new track from electronic duo PLOY seems rather apt to talk about.

This year we've cut down our "best of" lists and got straight to the point, we'll have two lists and an extra something(s) special up our sleeve.

Lists can get increasingly tedious this time of the year and every Tom, Dick and Harry are compiling their best albums, videos, tracks, artists, newcomers, the holy "Ones To Watch", what are we watching for exactly?

This first list is for NEWCOMERS, the criteria isn't "Oh we came across this band in 2011, they're good". It needs to be relevant so we made some pointers on how we judged below:
