Bass Drum of Death or should I say, John Barrett have never been ones to shy from their swaggy and raucous garage-rock roots and even with the help of Unknown Mortal Orchestra's Jacob Portrait, the band seem to have stayed well and truly loyal to their brazen sound.

Summer (release-wise) was, in a word, shit. We featured a host of anticipated albums but, other than the ones we mentioned, there was a lack of quality, but considering summer is mainly the festival season it was still pretty acceptable. Bass Drum of Death (Josh Barret's) are back with "Shattered Me",  the first track to come from the follow up to their 2011 GB City.

Heavens Gate Drone

Every so often, you come across a track you feel is a solid gold gem, but when you sit and think about it, you have literally no idea how you came across it and when you do a bit of digging, you learn where you should have found it. Only you didn't, and the confusion continues. Heaven's Gate and their barnstorming "Drone" has done exactly that.

Hello spring, we've missed you dearly. An so, as the weather takes a turn for the better, there is a whole host of new music to tide you over. It's noticeably Jai Paul less, but still, there's more than enough to go around. Listen & download the mix below.
