New Music: Abadabad - Indiana

As new musical discoveries go, I think Abadabad has been one of the best of 2011. Really, the man can do no wrong at the moment. 30 seconds of listening to new track "Indiana" will prove that statement true.

Coming off the back of Augusts 'Makeout Beach' split release, "Indiana" (which features bedroom soloist Adam Taylor Young) is apparently 'an open letter to Michael Jackson' . Make of that what you will, but the surprisingly upbeat track adds an extra depth to the talented Brooklyn natives repertoire. In fact, I think this new jam might be the best yet, and that's coming from a guy who must have spun debut track "Park Slope" 637 times (that doesn't even included the amazing Yalls remix either).

So in a way it has backed up some initial thoughts that we shared on Abadabad back in May, mainly that the future is overpoweringly bright. Actually, no, we'll call it sunny as hell.

Tour dates are up on Songkick which you may want to check out, and there's also an insightful interview with main man Jeremy Lee Given over here via Indie Ambassador. Stream "Indiana" below.
