Memory Tapes are/is almost set for the second LP release in two years and now have a video to accompany it.

Memory Tapes unveil the second piece from the forthcoming long player today with elegant new track "Wait In The Dark".

As end of year lists begin their draft, it wont come as a surprise that the name Memory Tapes will find be amongst many. With July's Player Piano Dayve Hawk created a wonderful blend of nostalgic calmness.

As services go you pretty much know who to turn to when you need something. If somethings burning you call the fire brigade. You need a holiday you call the travel agent. You need some undoubted funk and slickness that will make even the most prudent persons pelvis thrust? Seems like a job for Jensen Sportag then.

Nope, we're not ready to ditch summer just yet either. And a good thing, because the good vibes keep flowing, like this new remix from Memory Tapes, putting a few alterations to DIIV's "Follow", from one of our 'album of the year' contenders, Oshin.

Yu(c)k (not Yuck, this is a side project. Stay with it yeah?) are giving away a free track from their 'Memory Tapes' EP. ''Daughter" can be downloaded on the free tip [here]

Limited to 100 black cassettes, 'Memory Tapes' can be bought [here]

Enjoy...

In most cases, remixes can be vile creatures. But that's not the case for all of them, oh no. One only has to look at Jon Hopkins remix of Wild Beasts' "Two Dancers", or more recently, the Jensen Sportag re-jig of Memory Tapes "Wait In The Dark" to see how to execute them properly.

The last time we heard from Swede native NIVA was waayy back in the dark doldrums of March when he released his 'Feverish Dreams' EP, which included standout track "Boy From The Sun".

'Certified New is a month by month mixtape of the best new music'

Jensen Sportag are BACK! And my have we missed them. Back in the shape of new track "Gentle Man".

So here we are, almost at summers pinnacle as we prepare to enter August. It's more than appropriate then that we present our Summer mixtape today. A compilation that you can put on, kick back and let guide you through the long evenings.

A short, sharp and sweet month was September. A diverse one too, with plenty of delicate beauty from Still Corners & Astronauts, Etc. and not forgetting the guitar element from Playlounge & the ever diverse Mac Demarco. We've got Thumpers' "Sound Of Screams" in there too (first talked about back in April), which became downloadable recently.

2011 has been amazing. So good in fact that we could have easily made five mixtapes to accommodate our favourite tracks throughout the course of the year.
