Foals have covered Mark Ronson's "Daffodils" ft Tame Impala's Kevin Parker, and the fact they've upped the tempo, funk, and spacey synths is quite remarkable.

The cover was recorded as part of Australian radio station Triple J's Like A Version, in which they ask bands to perform cover versions - pretty straight forward really. It is the increased element of funk which strikes the hardest, and paired with Yannis' typical vocals, Foals turn "Daffodils" from something fairly tame to a heavy jazzfest of epic space age proportion.

Putting this "Daffodils" cover to the side for a seconds. Foals are set to release What Went Down if you didn't already know. The album is out August 28th.
