Tracks: Whistlejacket - Melt

London newcomers Whistlejacket continue their impressive rise with "Melt", their best work yet...

There's a reason why we write things like our 'Ones For 2014' list. And this, well, this is exactly that. New year, new music from London five piece Whistlejacket with the utterly immersive "Melt".

On a slight side note, Slowdive are back... Did you hear?  Yes, I digress slightly, but it got me thinking that the spacious, cosmically distorted nature of "Melt" does in fact bring to mind those halcyon days in the 90's when the 'I-forgot-to-like-them-then-but-think-they're-great-now' shoegazing bands were in their heyday.
