Band Update: Still Corners - Cuckoo

Still Corners have progressed almost exactly how they said they would when we interviewed them back in October last year and are now looking set for their debut single release on a label.

For a quick recap, the band released their debut (self released) LP back in 2008, "Remember Pepper", including the two self released singles, "Don't Fall In Love" and "Endless Summer".

Right, so here is where we're at. Back in March the band signed up to Sub Pop. Their label debut has been slightly delayed but the five piece are now ready to release new track "Cuckoo" with "Endless Summer" as a b-side. The single will be released June 28, timed perfectly for a string of US dates in March.

Final bit of news is that Still Corners will release their debut LP, on Sub Pop, entitled Creatures of an Hour. For now though watch the band performing "Cuckoo".

  1. This is a dreamy and haunting single album with an underlying feeling of tension. Both songs are great and they leave me wanting more. The music beckons from an obsessed mind while bending my mood like a minor chord. Playing this over and over drifts me into a relaxing oblivion. Balanced notes fall easy on the ears. Not too dark, but I hear a calling. The cover is harsh though the sounds melt like colored rain drops in slow motion. A splash of love. A pleasant surprise.
