We have James Blake to thank for the unveiling of Jamie xx's latest single b-side "Girl".

James Blake unveiled "Girl" on his Radio 1 residency slot, only at the time presenting it as a new track called "Bloke" from someone by the name of Simon Tallywacker - very inventive Blako!

The nature of this music industry that we feel we're so often fighting against, is that originality pays off and with it can come an immense amount of success. A success that can either make or break an artist and potentially force a change in their original ideas; a success similar to what has happened with The Weeknd; where inevitably (even if he did release three free "mixtapes") money rules over music and success is measured by sales figures, rather than how well an artist can stay true to their original identity. We all saw it coming with The Weeknd but couldn't deny the talent that was originally on show. James Blake is perhaps on the other side of that coin. He's a musician who we've frequently criticised for making boring albeit original music, but there's something to be said for Blake who's similar to The Weeknd in many ways. He makes music in a downbeat, atmospheric, murky and some would say cool fashion. All of these things are what we previously loved about The Weeknd; his originality and brilliant vocals are something Blake is also noted for. This leads me onto BASECAMP, the subject of our post.

It's that time again, we're on the stroke of summer and there's a whole new batch of brilliant anticipated albums on the verge of release. We spend a lot of time rattling on about the quality of specific track releases and a lot of those bands and musicians don't even make it to the point of releasing an album. So in honour of all those with the ability, luck and determination to get there - these anticipated posts are for you. Yes, some of the releases are through major labels, offshoots, subsidiaries, blah blah blah lets be clear - these albums are here on our merit, nothing else.

London producer Ben Khan returns for 2014, baring gifts of feel good vibes on "Youth".

One of our ones to watch for 2014 - it's not as anal as it sounds - Ben Khan has once again come up with the goods on new track, "Youth".

The track sounds every bit like it's title; full of energy, passion, colourful and brimming with positivity. It's a breath of fresh air to hear someone producing the kind of music we're used to from James Blake - only not so mind numbingly dour and boring, sorry James.

"Youth" is the lead single from Khan's upcoming 1992 EP, out through his own label, Blessed Vice on May 5th.
