CT15 #5: Wolf Alice - Giant Peach

Rushing an LP isn't exactly the wisest thing, whether you're a new band or not and to say it's been about two years since Wolf Alice's, "Fluffy", I don't think it would be clever to class debut LP My Love Is Cool as long awaited. One thing certain is they've earned their touring stripes over that time, playing a shit load of dates and they continue to do so now, shaping their sound and getting their name out there in the process, you know - the band thing?

Upon the news of My Love Is Cool, Wolf Alice have quite justly unveiled a studio version of the much loved live "Giant Peach" and it doesn't lose any of it's zesty vigour. Crashing cymbals, heavy-heavy-heaaaavy riffs and typically on point vocals from Ellie who owns the track, much like every other they've made this far. It might not be long awaited but it's certainly been awaited and with this studio recording of "Giant Peach" it just feels right, much like making it our fifth Certified Track of the year.

My Love Is Cool has been slated for a June 22nd release through blooming indie power-house Dirty Hit Records.
