CT14 #24: Gulf - Tell Me Again

A name to nail firmly on your 2015 'Ones To Watch' list, Liverpool's Gulf.

We know that Outfit make some of the best experimental pop anywhere in the UK. City neighbors Gulf seemingly do much of the same, as their second gushing glitterball track "Tell Me Again" firmly shows off.

The five piece (and we think there are five of them) conjures up a mass of calypso infused rhythms and gloriously fizzing specs of psychedelia. They've worked with Maccabees producer Darren Jones on their first batch on mightily impressive songs, and do see previous track "Emitter" also.

They play the Old Blue Last on November 20 alongside JLYY & Furs. See you there.
