LA-based/Detroit native Christian Berishaj aka JMSN has made his latest EP †Pllajë† available for streaming.

It's been a fair while since we last mentioned JMSN and like the NIVA track we just posted, it was back in 2011 with one of his breakthrough tracks - "Something". Well he's back on our radar and he's unveiled Pllajë, a new EP with a title meaning 'plateau' in Albanian. We've previously compared JMSN to the likes of The Weeknd, but having given this new EP a spin, it seems he's taken his sound and progressed it in a completely different manner to the likes of Abel Tesfaye.

Pllajë demonstrates Berishaj's grasp on the darker and grittier side of neo-r&b, only adding a slightly more electronic direction. JMSN utilises a lot of moody synths to give his music an entirely different dimension and a new found depth that we expected, but didn't think he'd pull off. We were wrong and with Pllajë, Berishaj has made a well rounded EP that expands his sound and continues his ability to explore the more depressing confines of expression - the kind that's unhealthily swept under the carpet on a daily basis.

You can buy the †Pllajë† EP digitally on iTunes.
