Introducing: Rush Midnight - The Night Was Young Enough

Former Twin Shadow bassist Russ Manning has dropped first track "The Night Was Young Enough" from his new project, Rush Midnight.

We've sat on this one for a few days now, but it's too good to pass on. Maybe it's unfair to say, but Rush Midnight seem to fill Cascine's void that was made by the departure of Evan Voytas to Dovecote.

With the help of one of our favourites (Twin Shadow) Rush Midnight look set to raise the bar even higher for the 80's aesthetic which has became so prominent since the run away success of the Drive soundtrack.

If only more of the qualities seen on, "The Night Was Young Enough" were present on Twin Shadow's recent Confess LP. In fact Rush Midnight sounds more like a follow up to Twin Shadows debut, Forget than Confess. Some food for though there.

Rush Midnight's debut EP +1 will be released on Cascine, October 30.
