Frankie Rose has been around the block in her career, but after a lot to to-ing and fro-ing, it's starting to look like she's found a niche of her own. This year will see the release of her second studio LP Interstellar and it's looking increasingly likely to be a defining year.

With the new year ahead it looks like we're set to see a new Frankie Rose. Gone are the days of the c86 garage pop bands which we'd previously seen Frankie plying her trade with and gone are the outs. 

In comes a more honed and tweaked sound, reminiscent in some ways to late 80's shoegaze. The subtle combination of garage pop and shoegaze elements doesn't seem a drastic switch up and it's not, but the quality of work that we're now being subjected to is the truly great thing and hopefully the rest of Interstellar will be on the same level as "Know Me" and "Night Swim".
