New Artist: Frankie Rose & The Outs

We have a different Frankie (Frankie & The Heartstrings) to talk about today. Frankie Rose the former member of Vivian Girls, Crystal Stilts & Dum Dum Girls, (that's a decent CV in terms of hot lo-fi girl bands, Crystal Stilts aren't too bad neither) has put down the drum sticks, hit the guitar and vocals and duly formed Frankie Rose & The Outs.

Their debut LP was released on the 21st of September and spurned the tracks 'Candy' and now 'Thee Only One' which was released on the 27th of October. Here is a quote from Frankie on the direction she wanted to take:

"I tried to make this album as hi-fi as possible while sticking to the sounds that I've always loved. I grew up listening to a lot of musicals and Gilbert and Sullivan operas, so harmonies are a given. I also was drawn to anything spooky as a kid-- 'Good Vibrations' still kinda scares me." - Frankie Rose, Frankie Rose & The Outs
