We've been missing (again) for a bit and so we missed out on the stupidity of "Boys Life" but now Small Black have unveiled their Best Blues album via - now letting us embed - NPR.

Best Blues is set for release through JagJaguwar on October 16th and after a few streams here you'll more than likely be after a copy on wax but for those who prefer to stick with digital copies, you can do that too. Coming in at 10 tracks long, the album opens with the gorgeous haze of "Personal Best"  and carries on in an almost cinematic vein. Small Black's use of different tempos is a great leveller for this album and is just about the only thing to differentiate between tracks. This isn't a bad thing though, as it makes for the perfect level of cohesion to form a full piece of work that functions on an abundance of different levels.
I'll stop there before I turned into one of those prick reviewers. Best Blues is what it is, your supposed to listen to it and make your own mind up. You can grab a pre-order of Small Black's Best Blues from the Jagjajuwar website now.
