Album Stream: The Horrors - Luminous

The Horrors continue with their ever-expanding sound on new album and Skying follow-up Luminous, now streaming in full.

Luminous - while setting them apart from a lot of previously similar bands - sits The Horrors down in a category of next level 10s "indie" bands, along with Foals, The Maccabees, Bombay Bicycle Club and to an extent Alt-J. Their stylings are all very different but their "NME appeal" is now much the same.

That's not a detractor from the bands music though, it's just a simple way of separating the good, the bad and the simply horrific. Fan appeal is a necessary evil in todays musical climate and the big question now lays in where the band can go from here. That same question can be posed for the aforementioned bands next releases too - it's make or break time for 10s indie.
