Wakes' debut is set for release through Cardiff's Shape Records and if "Headlights" is anything to go by, it should be a very interesting release at that.

It's easy to skip past an act called Wakes, when your so used to seeing similar names associated to brutal electronic neo-soul/r&b divvy's - so it's a relief to be introducing a breath of fresh air instead. Wakes concocts a wild and care-free mix of lo-fi but entrancing vocals with a typically catchy surf-pop guitar riffs. Don't let it fool you though, Wakes isn't a surf-pop act - far from it actually.

Feral Youth is set for release June 2nd through Shape Records, for a pre-order head over to Bandcamp.
