New Music: Shine 2009 - Eurozone

A couple of years ago now, the Finnish duo of Sami Suova and Mikko Pykäri had Paula Abdul singing alongside them on the effortless "So Free". Fast forward to 2013 and the Shine 2009 are readying their second long player, Our Nation, with first track "Eurozone" sounding particularly apt.

With an operatic opening to announce their re-arrival, the subtle funk of "Eurozone" plays on Shine's epically casual, utterly pop-perfect swagger. That's right, kids, summer is so close you can almost touch it.

Our Nation is released through Cascine this Autumn (date TBC). Hear "Eurozone" below.
