Introducing: Ménage à Trois - Islands In The Stream / Monument

Taking a bit of time away from the Jai Paul soap opera that is currently unfolding on Twitter, someone that has caught our eye of late is Manchester's Ménage à Trois, who, after releasing a pretty great cover of Bee Gees "Islands In The Stream", has shared another new song in "Monument".

If the cover was a bit of fun between friends - although done in some style, it has to be said - then "Monument" firmly cements the soloists undoubted potential. Suitable tagged as Yacht Rock" on Bandcamp, it's about as far away from anything 'stereotypically Manchester' as you could get. It is utterly gorgeously though, with languid guitar lines that are strikingly reminiscent of Wu Lyf's Evans Kati. And to think, we made it all this way into the post without mentioning that they're actually mates with the Wu Lyf / Los Porcos gang too. Ahh well, as connections go, that's not a bad one to have.

You can buy the two tracks on limited edition cassette here, watch both videos below.
