News: One For The People to host category for BBC 6 Music Blog Awards

We're pleased to announce that on Friday we will be hosting a category for the first ever BBC 6 Music Blog Awards.

Our category will be 'Most Genre Defying Artist', which will ultimately be chosen by you, the reader. As the categories are down to us and the rest of the great sites taking part, you shouldn't be expecting any of the usual, "Best Male", "Best Female" etc.

We will list the nominees on Wednesday (29th) for which you can cast your vote via our Facebook & Twitter pages. Also, you can follow the whole thing by using the #blog6music hashtag.
