The perfect day for presents and here's a rather pleasant one. A new demo from The xx, "Open Eyes", which was recorded during sessions for their forthcoming second album.

Lingering, airy and hugely sparse, I'd be surprised if the future work took this sole direction (there is no percussion from Jamie, after all). You can watch the languid video below, then download the mp3 here.
