New Artist: Dog Is Dead - River Jordan

We were introduced to Dog is Dead a bit back by Jonquil and Chad Valley supremo, Hugo Manuel. Really should have pulled our finger out and posted them earlier but for one reason or another we didn't get round to it.

Well today is that day! Dog is Dead are Joss Van Wilder, Robert Milton, Lawrence Libor, Trev and Paul Roberts, they hail from Nottingham and are signed to Your Children Records.

The band have been busy with their trilogy of releases, "Glockenspiel", "Young" and "River Jordan". The latter completed the trilogy and was released on February 28th.

The band have started to pick up some significant air play of late (Radio1, 2, 6Music and Xfm most notably) we all know what that means......

I'll stick my neck on the line now and say I can hear aspects of The Maccabees, Foals and Mumford and Sons in their music, surely that's no band thing?
