Tracks: Howling - Stole The Night

Folk meets new-wave on Howling's "Signs" follow-up track, "Stole The Night".

Howling have got to be one of the most ground-breaking acts we've heard so far this year managing to take element that you would never pitch together previously and make them work not only well but to an extent where they're production is a thing of beauty. "Stole The Night" is another example of this. It's obvious that this was the point in RY X and Frank Wiedemann setting up camp and recording together, but we're not wholly convinced they expected the results to be as fresh, elegant and current as what they've ended up with.
