CT15 #8: Communions - Out Of My World

Former stable mates of Iceage if you will, (used the same rehearsal space back-in-the-day) Communions return with "Out of My World", the first track to feature on their Tough Love self-titled EP and follows-up their "So Long Sun"/"Love Stands Still" double-a side from last year. Oh and it's out 8th Certified Track of the year - easily.

"Out of My World" will be the lead track and it proves that dense, hard stoney-edged origins can be manipulated and morphed into something so melodic, smooth and catchy - with a little help from clear production and on-point vocals. This is what almost all shoegaze bands probably wish they could do and similarly, what most post-punk bands could do with a bit more love and attention in the recording process. Not that we'd want that.
