Pell's a 21-year-old fresh face hailing from New Orleans, who's establishing a forceful fanbase on the back of his eclectic brand of hypnotic trip-hop - appropriately titled by the FADER as 'dream rap'. 

  

Floating While Dreaming is his latest project and it's flawless. Pell's flow is hardly southern-sounding and immensely comparable to the likes of Kid Cudi, Chance The Rapper and even Kendrick Lamar. The strange thing is though, despite the comparisons - this album is a different breed to anything released by the aforementioned artists. It's coherent and rhythmically soothing from start to finish, plus there's some outstanding production work from Haim collaborator, Ludwig Goransson.
