Hospitality might have edged a step closer to shaking their indie-pop foundation as they release “Rockets and Jets” from upcoming LP, Trouble.

2012’s self-titled debut turned a number of heads as it expertly captured the band’s cheerful vibe, whilst also conjuring a rather endearing aesthetic. However, “Rockets and Jets” veers away from their indie safe haven, with the usual guitar-driven pop hooks being sacrificed to make way for a synth spattered haze of dark, minimal and heady bass lines.

Hospitality’s sophomore record, Trouble is out January 28 through Merge Records.
