Major Leagues are a Brisbane dream-pop four-piece set to unveil debut EP Weird Season - listen to "Silver Tides".
This is now the third Australian band we've featured in a week and it's starting to get a bit embarrassing. Major Leagues are the latest in a string of new bands emerging from down under, staking a claim for their own version of the ever popular shoegazey dream-pop phenomenon.
"Silver Tides" sounds incredibly like Yuck's "Georgia" during their Bloomberg era, but notably had female vocals too - I preferred them better then anyway. Actually, come to think of it, that's the best way to describe the song. Sounds like "Georgia", so pretty damn sweet - listen below.
