I'll be honest; when I saw the title of the second track, "2 Thingz", from BASECAMP's debut EP, I thought the worst, especially after the detail I went into on their introducing post. My god I was wrong!

Although it's not really the kind of music we post on a day-to-day basis, this debut is incredible. The face of R&B has been dragged through the mire for a long time now and BASECAMP look set to join the choice few who realise that standing still is the worst thing to do. To be taken seriously in a genre that's now sodden with watered-down mediocrity created for the masses, you have to move the goal posts, show individuality and above all get creative. BASECAMP do all of these things and more; listen to the EP below, you'll understand what I'm ranting about.
