Introducing: Soulmates Never Die - The Poor Bastard

We've not come across Leeds based Soulmates Never Die, aka Josh McCarthy, before. But it's good that we have now, as his latest track - "The Poor Bastard" - is a delightful little pop gem.

As well as being a truly brilliant song title, it's a refreshing twist on your standard folky guitar-pop and bears an honest resemblance to the delectable Gorgeous Bully. By the time he sings "it's silly but I wish I'd never lost my virginity", you just want to give young Josh a great big hug and a cup of earl grey.
