New Music: Childhood - Semester

Were you around when we wrote about Childhood's "Blue Velvet" back in November last year? No? Where have you been!? Fear not though, we're back to bring you more from one of the UK's most exciting bands.

The Nottingham uni students lack of anything social (barring good ol' Myspace) sort of left them isolated in these hyper connected times. But now with a Facebook page and seemingly new material (oh, and the small matter of a BBC 6 music play too), Childhood are back on our radar in a big way.

New track "Semester", which is part of a compilation album put together by Melodic Records, is yet another heavily addictive, well crafted gem. Combining a catchy as hell melody with those heartfelt lyrics to pop perfection.

Head here to check out the rest of the excellent album which features the likes of Ghost Outfit, Dark Dark Dark & Patterns to name but a few.

Catch them playing at The Shacklewell Arms with Gross Magic on August 10th, details here. Stream "Semester" below.
