Here's Toro y Moi's brand new single 'New Beat'. The single got an excellent bit of blog exposure last week but we decided to sit on it until we could show a video (didn't expect it this quickly) Well now we can.

In recent times I've read a few reviews claiming Toro y Moi to be chillwave, I can see where they are coming from but I find that to be a fairly poor and lazy description, he definitely nudges towards that but there is far more of an experimental edge to his music than that of a few chillwave artists I could think of.

Moving on, this is the new video for his single 'New Beat'. While most avid readers will have heard this track already, they won't have seen it put to visual, so it's worth a watch in that sense.

Toro y Moi's new album Underneath The Pine will be available to buy as of February 22nd through the rising Car Park Records. No release date on the single but I'm sure more will come of that.
