New Music: Hesta Prynn

Ok, so you are all, definitely, going to need an insight into who Hesta Prynn is. She doesn't go by that name but I'm not going to be saying what her real name is as it's irrelevant, your not exactly going to go and grab a fresh pot with her or anything. She was part of an all-female hip-hop group called Northern State (no seriously I'm not joking).

Like all ambitious musician's, she has gone on a solo outing and I suspect she won't be returning to Northern State any time soon. In July 2010, Hesta released her first EP 'Can We Go Wrong', with the title track featuring in some Ray Ban TV Ad's and also on NylonTV. Hesta has been described as "M.I.A. and Miike Snow's lovechild" by The New York Post and they also voted her #4 Artist To Watch in 2010 (Their 'Artist's To Watch' seems a lot better than our effort of a vote that is, BBC Sound of 2010)
